 Infants: Ages 6 weeks to 12 months
Your child will receive tons of love and attention in a very nurturing environment. Our staff will interact with each child by talking, singing, and holding them. All babies will be allowed to eat, sleep, play and explore on their own schedules. Our infant room is designed to allow each child to sit up, roll over, crawl, pull themselves up and begin walking. Every baby will have their own crib and we will provide linens. We also provide formula and baby food and will offer table foods for older infants. Each family will need to provide diapers, diaper creams and powders, and we will provide the wipes. We will also send home a daily account of your baby’s activities.
Toddlers: Ages 12 months to 2 ½ Years
Your toddler will have the opportunity to explore their new mobility and independence in a safe, nurturing and fun-filled environment. Each day will be filled with stories, games, art, toys and activities designed to teach shapes, colors and small and large motor skills. Teachers will develop theme based lesson plans to incorporate large and small motor skills, cognitive development, emotional/social development, and language skills. Toddlers will be given foods that promote self feeding. Each family will be responsible for providing diapers, diaper creams and powders. Crayon Academy will provide wipes for each child. We will also provide all linens for nap time, however, if your child has a special blanket, please feel free to bring that to school to help your child feel more comfortable.
